CAMP DRUG, ALCOHOL AND WEAPONS POLICY STATEMENT:

The Camp Policy of JC Revival (Christcity Youth) states that, it is in the best interest of everyone attending, that the Leadership Team take measures to ensure an alcohol, weapon, and drug free campground at JC Revival Summer camp. Please be aware of the following policies and procedures. Under no circumstances are there to be any drugs (unless prescribed by a licensed physician and submitted to the camp nurse prior to commencement of camp), alcohol, or any weapons on the campgrounds or in the possession of any camper.

If a camper is suspected or determined to be using, in possession, or under the influence of any of the objects stated above during the duration of camp, they will be subject to bag checks by camp personnel. If any of these items are found, they will be confiscated and if the camper violates curfew, camp rules, or exits the boundaries of the campgrounds at any point without consent, the Camp Leadership reserves the right to remove the camper from the camp and the campgrounds at the camper’s expense.  Parents or legal guardians may be required to pick up their child, if a minor, or arrange suitable travel arrangements from the campgrounds as soon as possible. We advise therefore that parents do a thorough bag check with their child at home prior to their departure for camp. These policies will be upheld as listed above and as acknowledged in the “CONSENT” section of the camp registration form.

EVENT CONSENT:

I hereby consent to the participation of my/our child(ren) in this supervised activity. While every precaution is taken for the safety and good health, some sports and activities carry with them the inherent risk of personal injury beyond the risks associated with many of the recreational activities at Christcity. I/we understand and accept these risks and agree that by allowing my/our child(ren) to participate in those activities, he/she may be taking part in a recreational activity that presents the potential for personal injury. I/we, the parents or guardians named below, understand that Camp Leadership has provided each parent, & individual attending camp with a written statement regarding the Drug, Alcohol & Weapons Policy, which I have read, acknowledged and agreed to said policy by signing below. I/we, the parents or guardians named below, understand that the specific circumstances of each matter will be in consultation with the Director, and Christcity’s personnel on the campgrounds, and will be at the sole and absolute discretion of the director and camp personnel. I/we, the parents or guardians named below, authorize the Director or one of Christcity’s Personnel to sign a consent for medical treatment and to authorize any physician or hospital to provide medical assessment, treatment or procedures, for the participant named above. I/we, named below, undertake and agree to indemnify and hold blameless Christcity, its personnel, its Directors and Board, from and against any loss, damage or injury suffered by the participant as a result of being part of the activities of Christcity, as well as of any medical treatment authorized by the supervising individuals representing Christcity. This consent and authorization is effective only when participating in or traveling to events of Christcity. This signed waiver also serves as a photo and video release for camp and youth promotion purposes.
